Tiaxal Ointment

Anti-allergic, antibiotic and topical antifungal. Tiaxal is a versatile medication for various dermatological conditions including bacterial and mycotic skin infections.

Formula

100 g ointment contains: Betamethasone (as valerate) 50 mg, Gentamicin (as sulfate) 100 mg, Tolnaftate 1 g, Nystatin 10,000,000 IU. Excipients q.s.
Tiaxal ointment contains Butylated hydroxyanisole antimicrobial agent.

Therapeutic Action

Tiaxal is indicated in:

• Piodermitis: 1) S. Aureus: folliculitis, furuncle, anthrax, hidrosadenitis; 2) Strep: ecthyma, erysipelas, impetigo; 3) infections with pyocyanique: necrobiosis and ulcers.
• Superficial mycoses: athlete's foot, ringworm, pityriasis versicolor, onixis and candidiasis.
• Inflammatory and allergic dermatoses: contact, psoriasis, seborrheic and bullous dermatitis.
