Formula
Each modulan ®3 tablet contains 3 mg of melatonin. Each modulan® 5 scored tablet contains 5 mg of melatonin.
Recommendations for use
Modulan ® It is a regulator of the sleep-wake cycle. This hormone, which is synthesized from tryptophan, is involved in synchronizing circadian rhythms with the light-dark cycle. Its concentration increases at dusk, decreasing until it reaches its minimum expression at sunrise. It exerts its action by binding to two main types of receptors MT1 and MT2. A third receptor (MT3) has been identified, the function and relevance of which is not yet well known. Modulan ® It has a hypnotic/sedative effect and increases the propensity to sleep. Modulan ® It is almost completely absorbed. The plasma peak is obtained 50 minutes after administration. A 3 mg dose increases the endogenous plasma concentration of melatonin 60-fold.
