Therapeutic Action
Levothyroxine Sodium Gramón Bagó is indicated for the replacement or substitution of decreased or absent thyroid function (eg cretinism, myxedema, non-toxic goiter or hypothyroidism in general, including hypothyroidism in children, in pregnancy and in the elderly), resulting from functional deficit , primary atrophy, partial or complete absence of the gland, surgical sequelae, radiation or the use of antithyroid agents. It can also be used to suppress thyrotrophin secretion (TSH), an effect that can be useful in non-endemic simple goiter and in chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis, determining a reduction in the size of the goiter.
