Fremalt has Omeprazole as active ingredient, a potent inhibitor of the gastric secretion through selective interference with gastric parietal cells proton pump. The injectable form decreases erosive gastritis quickly, especially useful in gastrointestinal bleeding due to peptic ulcer. In the granules dosage the effect of Bicarbonate determines an immediate and sustained relief.
Formula
Granulated sachets contains 20 mg of Omeprazole. It also contains Sodium Bicarbonate, 1.68 g, Sodium Alginate 250 mg and Sugar 2.75 g.
Therapeutic Action
Fremalt is indicated for the treatment of peptic ulcer, erosive gastritis, gastro-esophageal reflux with or without esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and prolonged use of NSAIDs.
Fremalt in combination with antibiotics (Amoxicillin, Clarithromycin and Metronidazole) is indicated in the eradication of H. pylori infection in patients with gastroduodenal ulcus.
