Exiflex® is an agonist of alpha-2-adrenergic receptors, which would reduce spasticity by increasing presynaptic inhibition of motor neurons.
Formula
Each Exiflex® scored Tablet cointains 4 mg of Tizanidine.
Indications
Exiflex® is indicated in adults for the treatment of:
- Painful muscle spasms associated with static and functional disorders of the spine (cervical and lumbar syndromes), or that occur after surgical interventions (intervertebral disc herniation or hip osteoarthritis).
- Spasticity due to neurological disorders, such as multiple sclerosis, chronic myelopathy, degenerative spinal cord disorders, stroke and cerebral palsy.
